The 2018 Buick Regal will be one of the kept secrets of the year. The rumored the appearance of a Regal Sportback and wagon on our shoreline would have been enough to get our interest. Although GM hasn’t released official details on the new 2018 Buick Regal, don’t be surprised if the new model was previewed by the redesigned 2018 Opel Insignia. As before, Buick’s new mid-size Regal will be little more than a European-market Opel Insignia wearing the Buick insignia.

There are going to be a lot of differences in both 2018 Buick Regal design. The Regal Sportback soaks up bumps fairly well, though the car felt light going over some larger bumps on GM’s handling course. Engine options and performance of this car are also bound to come in an improved version. The Regal may come standard with the Malibu’s 163 hp, turbocharged 1.5-litre inline-four, along with an automated gearbox to push the front tires. Much more attractive is the idea of a use a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder engine which will be mated to the new 9-speed auto transmission from GM. This engine is anticipated to yield up to 250 horsepower and 260 lb-ft torque. We’re sad to say that a manual-transmission edition or stick-shift option is furnished. GM expects to have the 2018 Buick Regal in display rooms sometimes at the end of this season.
